Dinner At Guangzhou 在广州的晚餐
( 14th February 2013 )We had a very late dinner after the Pearl River Cruise. Below are the dishes we had for dinner :
Stir-fried mixed vegetables of corn, green peas, cashew nuts, peanuts and carrot.
Almost the whole plate was left untouched
Boiled chicken - quite tasty. Guangdong is famous for the "pak cham Kai" (白切鸡)
Stir-fried lettuce
Lotus root soup
Mixed vegetables of celery, peas, lotus root and black fungus
Steamed fish. They used fresh water fish
Egg omelette
Stir-fried assorted vegetables
Sweet & sour pork
Rather ordinary fare served for lunch today. I was rather disappointed as I expected Guangzhou Cantonese fare to be better than what was served !
