Steamed Prawns In Soy Sauce

Steamed Prawns In Soy Sauce


300g big prawns
3 tbsp soy sauce
1 thumb size piece of ginger, cut into thin slices
1 tbsp of cooking oil

Preparatory instructions

Raw prawns

1.  Trim away the whiskers and the prickly parts of the prawns
2.  Wash the prawns
3.  Drain dry
4.  Arrange on a large plate

Cooking instructions

1.  Place the ginger slices on top of the prawns
2.  Add in the soy sauce and 1 tbsp of cooking oil
3.  Place the plate of prawns in a steamer with water already boiling
4.  Steam for 10 minutes
5.  Remove the prawns from the steamer
6.  Add in 1 tbsp of shallot oil.(Fry a sliced shallot in 4 tbsp of cooking oil till slightly brown)
