Stir-Fried Baby Cabbage In Oyster Sauce 蚝油包菜胆
Baby cabbage is called Choi Tam in Cantonese
Easy to cook and nutritious
Ingredients
500g baby cabbage ( Choi Tam in Cantonese )
1 tbsp minced garlic
4 tbsp cooking oil
Sauce Ingredients
2 tbsp oyster sauce
1 tsp salt, or to taste
2 tsp sugar
Mix all the sauce ingredients with 1 Chinese rice bowl of water
Cornflour Solution
1 tsp cornflour
2 tsp water
Mix the cornflour and water together in a bowl
Instructions
1. Wash and clean the baby cabbage.
2. Cut them into quarters.
3. set aside
Cooking Instructions
1. Heat a wok, add 4 tbsp of cooking oil
2. Add in the minced garlic and saute until fragrant and light brown in colour
3. Add in the baby cabbage and stir-fry over high heat until the baby cabbage turn soft
4. Add in the sauce ingredients and let cook for 2 minutes
5. Add in the cornflour solution to thicken
6. Mix well and let simmer for 1 minute
7. Switch off the flame and dish up
