X-Files : Turned To Stone

X-Files : Turned To Stone

Wong Choy  used to work as a shop assistant in a bicycle shop in Kerling, near Tanjong Malim. One dark and windy night at around midnight he was going back from Tanjung Malim to Kerling on a motorcycle. A Chinese cemetery is situated on this stretch of road near Kalumpang, between Tanjung Malim and Kerling.

While passing through Kalumpang, Wong Choy came across a  young woman by the roadside trying to hitch a ride from him and waving at him to stop. He was surprised that the woman was all alone in the middle of the night and in the middle of nowhere, waiting at the roadside but he did not think too much about it because being a good Samaritan was more important to him than to be suspicious of the woman. As far as he was concerned, he was only doing a good deed by giving her a lift. Halfway through before reaching his house, he realised that the woman at the back of his motorcycle was getting heavier and heavier so much so that he decided to get down to have a look. When he turned around to look and the woman, she was no longer on the bike. Instead there was a large rock on the pillion.

He was so shocked by the whole experience that he quickly tilted his bike and the rock fell to the ground. At lightning speed he jumped on his bike and sped away like a mad man. He was thoroughly shaken by the whole incident.

In future, think twice before picking up any woman in distress at night, especially near a cemetery.
