Kiwi Fruit Jelly 奇异果燕菜糕
Two lovely layers of agar-agar
You can clearly see the red and the kiwi fruit layer
The jelly is cut into two triangles
Ingredients
6 cups water
4 tsp agar-agar powder
1 1/4 cup sugar
a few drops of rose colouring
a few drops of green colouring
3 kiwi fruits
Instructions
1. Place water into a pot and sprinkle agar-agar powder over the surface
2. Bring to slow boil. Boil until agar-agar dissolves in about 5 minutes
3. Add in sugar and boil until the it dissolves
4. Remove from heat. Pour 3 cups of the boiled agar-agar into a square tray
5. Add in a few drops of rose colouring. Mix evenly
6. Allow the red layer to cool. Refrigerate until set in about 10 minutes
7. Meanwhile, keep the remaining liquid warm
8. Colour the remaining liquid green. Allow to cool slightly
9. Peel and dice kiwi fruits. Add the diced kiwi fruits into the green liquid
10. Once the red layer has set, pour the green mixture together with the kiwi fruits onto the red layer
11. Allow to cool and set.
12. Chill in the refrigerator before cutting into desired shapes
Cool and refreshing. Yummy !
