Chinese-Style Steamed Chicken

Simply delicious!

This is a simple village style of steaming chicken. It is very delicious.


1 Kg chicken
1 tbsp light soy sauce
1 tbsp oyster sauce
1 tbsp cooking coil
2 tsp sugar
2 tsp cornflour
1 tsp salt
2 tbsp Shao Hsing wine
20g young ginger - cut into thin slices
A dash of pepper


1.  Wash and chop the chicken into bite-sized pieces. Remove the unwanted parts. Wash and drain.
2.  Put the chicken pieces in a large bowl
3.  Mix all the ingredients thoroughly in a small bowl
4.  Then add into the chicken and stir thoroughly before placing the chicken in the steamer with boiling water
5.  Cooking time is between 20 to 25 minutes
