How To Choose Chikus


First and foremost, choose all the light brown ones. Then make sure the skin is smooth without droplets of white hardened latex on it. Use your palm to press the fruit and if it is soft, then it is one that is about to ripen. Avoid fruits with wrinkled skins. Forget those that still has a tinge of light green.

Remove the seeds and skin before consuming. They make great desserts after a hearty meal.
