How To Choose Fresh Fish

 How To Choose Fresh Fish

The first thing to do is to look at the fish and see if it looks natural and pleasant to the eyes. Next, look at the pupils of the fish, if they are clear and dark then it is fresh. To confirm the freshness further, open up the gills and see if they are red and are full of sticky substance. If you see all that then you've got a very fresh fish indeed. Last but not least, if you don't mind, you can take a sniff at the fish. A fresh one smells clean and nice.

Some fresh fish

This is an example of a very fresh group of fish. See the clear and dark colour of the eyes.

This is an example of a not so fresh fish. The pupil of the eye has turned whitish.
