Treating The Common Cold

A drink made from Chinese tea leaves, salt and shallots

 

Ingredients

1 handful of Chinese tea leaves
1/2 tsp salt
2 shallots
3 cups of boiling water

Instructions

1.  Wash the shallots. Do not remove the shallot skin nor the roots. Just make sure the shallots are properly washed and cleaned.
2.  Use the flat side of a cleaver to give a smack to the shallots
3.  Put all the 3 ingredients into a large mug
4.  Add in 3 cups of boiling water
5.  Let it steep for 10 minutes


Top left : notice the roots of the shallots - do not remove the roots nor the skin. Top right : salt. Bottom : Chinese tea leaves


Just for comparing the sizes. You need a large mug which can hold at least 3 cups of water


After 10 minutes, it's ready for use
